Why Hot Sauce?

A spicy condiment made from chili peppers and other ingredients.

Studies show that capsaicin, the compound that gives chili and cayenne their zing, has a lot of health benefits. Capsaicin may boost your metabolic rate and can help you eat less and feel satisfied. For centuries, folk medicine practitioners used capsaicin to aid digestion, fight infection, and stimulate the kidneys, lungs, and heart.

Research shows that hot sauce can even battle depression. How so?  You need endorphins in part to make you feel happy. When eating hot sauce, you release endorphins and these endorphins act as a “happy drug” to put you in a better mood.

Why Pomegranate?

A heavenly fruit from ancient Persia, symbol of health, fertility and eternal life. Pomegranates were domesticated around 4,000 B.C. and are highly regarded for their medicinal health benefits.

Some studies show compounds found only in pomegranates called punicalagins are shown to benefit the heart and blood vessels. Punicalagins are the major component responsible for pomegranate’s antioxidant and other health benefits.
